The weather has been a little crazy and wild outside today, so we stayed in our comforts and set the teepee up. We love this 'Keep the wild in you' romper from the lovely, Little Urban Apparel. Perfect outfit for today to keep warm!
In keeping with the theme, we also have the 'Baby it's a wild world' poster print from Wild Boys and Girls. :)
Keeping a playful 2 year old happy indoors [with the weather like today] is easy when you have a teepee! From planning to the setting up, Hayden enjoyed helping me. He was more than involved with the whole process. He chose the rug, went and got his pillows and chose which of his cuddly friends are allowed to join him.
We got this 'Big Teepee' from Moozle as his first Christmas gift. We've had it up and down ever since and never went out of fashion. The size is roughly 170cm diameter at the widest point on the floor and 220cm height. We tested it for fun and can fit 2 adults and 2 children comfortably lying down. It has a nice little window on the side too which Hayden uses to play peek-a-boo!
If you are considering purchasing this size teepee, my advise will be to make sure that your local hardware store sells the poles as this teepee didn't come with them due to their sizes. I went to our local B&Q store to purchase these poles for £9 each and asked a store representative to cut them to size for me and smooth the edges where they have been cut. You will need 6 poles.
Whilst inside the teepee, Hayden and i read a gorgeous and very well written book 'Dreamer', by Julie Farrell. It's a story about Birdie who climbs to her bed and dream her adventures by night. This is such a great little book with vivid illustrations by Becky Kemp. Hayden loves it and i enjoy reading it to him.
