I thought that it's only fitting with the name of this blog, to post about our home; first and foremost. So here goes...
Our style very much reflects our personality and taste [relative to our budget of course]. We like minimal and simple items that works well and compliments one another thereby easier to move things around and tidy up. Although the [mild] OCD in me demands that things have their own places, having achromatic colours flowing through the house means i can still feed my urge to move things around [as i get bored so easily] without upsetting the aesthetic of our environment. Whilst it's not always that tidy in our home, it always seems to appear that it is at certain standard because everything compliments each other. A bonus! You may wonder however, how i cope with having a child running around the house? We have a few toy storages we keep in his bedroom and the living room. We always encourage Hayden to tidy up after each play. My voice is not often heard so i tidy up around him most of the time.
I cannot stand clutter and i always believe that less is more. You will notice that we don't have many ''things'' but what we have, we make the most of. When introducing items into our home, i choose very carefully. Often, this takes a long process as i am so indecisive. The accountant in me always considers the budget within our means too and searching for the same item(s) online for bargains whenever possible. Even the £5 savings of shipping costs means a lot to me! Why pay more, huh? There are of course, little luxuries that i simply cannot live without and over-rule the sensible side of me. I am human after all.
Talking of little luxuries, these Italian Carrara marble candles from Lovely Pair are so divine, you simply need them in your life! They are not just heavenly, they are so aesthetically pleasing to the eyes too! I love how they go so well in my home. Oh, and i cannot choose a favourite between Chanel No 5, Champagne & Pomegranate, Sweet Pea & Jasmine and Pink Peony! I mean... can you?
Just a heads up for all you candle lovers, the new limited edition Christmas Candles are also now in stock! I am waiting for my Rose & Pine to arrive in the post as i type. I cannot wait! Oh, wait... did i just mention Christmas?! Already? How can this be?!
